Static Diary is the first solo record from veteran Scott Danbom, best known for his work with Centro-matic, Sarah Jaffee, Drive-By Truckers, and many more. This debut hybridizes experimental ambient compositions and unconventional instrumental concepts.
This album is a master class in bringing haunting keyboard and vocal arrangements together in unexpected compositions. Danbom describes these divergent artistic personalities as “a word and a symbol that mean the same thing but just have a blurry, different feel. Nothing too complex and nothing too simple.”
Static Diary was recorded by Britton Beisenherz (Will Johnson, Milton Mapes) at Ramble Creek Recording Studio in Austin, Texas.
